  • To understand the phenomena of transfers coupled with chemical reactions; gas-liquid, fluid-solid reactions
  • To apply the Residence Time Distribution (RTS) method to characterize continuous reactors
  • To characterize a drying process for cellulosic material

Practical work in application of the material transfer course.

Comparison of the SDR in a cascade of agitated mixers and in a column reactor.
Comparison of the evaporation of a water table and the drying of a paper in ambient air.
Study of a non-condensing heat exchanger.
Mathematical simulation of an ozonation reactor.
Mathematical simulation of a platelet or a reaction fibre.

Prerequisites

Fluid mechanics course (Pagora 1st year)
Material Transfer Course 1 (Pagora 1st year curriculum)

Test

Continuous monitoring (note at each TP report).
