The LGP2 laboratory organizes the BioMatPack Winter Training School "Use of nanopolysaccharides in packaging" from 11 to 13 December 2013 in Grenoble INP-Pagora.
It is programmed in the framework of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) and, more particularly, the Action BioMatPack (FP 1003). The latter includes partners - universities, research centers and industries - from several European countries.
Its main objective is to improve knowledge about fibers from biomass and to identify new renewable packaging solutions achievable from bio-based materials. For four years (2011-2014), this action supports the European research funding partnership meetings and visits of researchers and organizing conferences and training schools. The Winter Training School will focus on the use of nanopolysaccharides in packaging. Twenty researchers from LGP2 and other European research centers will take place in five sessions:
Session 1 - Nanopolysaccharides production and industrialization
Session 2 - Plastic based packaging and composites with nanopolysaccharides
Session 3 - Health, safety and legislation adapted to nanopolysaccharides
Session 4 - Paper based packaging applications
Session 5 - Innovative packaging and smart materials
