LGP2 welcomes Wadood Hamad, Science Manager of the FPInnovations Transformation & Interfaces group and Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He will give three seminars in July.
Wadood Y. Hamad is an expert in nanomaterials, soft matter physics and the development of sustainable high-tech applications from bio-based materials. Science Manager of FPInnovations' Transformation & Interfaces group, he is also an Adjunct Professor the University of British Columbia’s Department of Chemistry (Canada).
Dr W.Y. Hamad holds over 22 patents in the fields of cellulose nanocrystals applications, polymer composites and packaging technology. He has published over 100 papers in high-impact journals like Nature and Advanced Materials, 7 book chapters and 3 monographs, most recently on Cellulose Nanocrystals: Properties, Production and Applications (Wiley 2017). He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Institute of Materials, Mining and Minerals (UK).
