Goal(s)

To establish the bases necessary for the understanding of the phenomena related to the colloidal and interfacial properties in paper making, converting and printing.

Learning outcomes :

  • To understand the properties of colloidal systems, cohesion and adhesion (surface and interface energies), liquid/liquid, gas-solid and liquid-solid interfaces (their properties and modifications)
  • To understand the theoretical elements to be able to present the main phenomena related to colloidal and interfacial properties in paper, converting and printing
