This course aims at being practical and operational. The lecture time is therefore limited.
The course is held as a project to set up a quality management system in a context which the students will have chosen and which, if possible, concerns them (e.g., a student association). If students cannot agree on the working theme, they work on the PIME elective semester.
Beyond the documents available on the Chamilo platform, students look for the information they need to lead their project.

First two sessions : presentation of the course; main principles of quality management (stake-holders, PDCA, coherence between strategy and goals, audit, responsibilities for actions); general semantics; ISO 9001:2015 standard; meetings management).

The theme of work must have been chosen at the end of the second session.

The other sessions are held in "meeting mode". Students are responsible for setting up the room and assign roles for the meeting (moderator, secretary, person in charge of the deliverable). Roles must change from one meeting to another. A list of each participant's role during the meeting and in preparing the deliverable must be attached to each deliverable.

Session 3 : overview. What is available? What is the purpuse of the organism? Which action plan? Record of decisions delivered for the next session.

Session 4 : QFD : how to integrate the stakeholders' needs and convert them into specifications? QFD matrix and and record of decisions delivered for the next session.

Session 5 : Process mapping. Describing a process. Setting up indicators/ratios. Process sheet delivered for the next session.

Session 6 : Writing a procedure meeting some requirements of the ISO 9001 standard : internal audit procedure. Procedure delivered for the next session.

Session 7 : Process review. Corrective and preventive action plan. Building an audit plan of the process according to the existing procedure. Action plan and audit plan delivered for the next session.

Session 8 : Problem solving (if possible linked to the studied theme). Pareto diagram, why-why method, 5M method, brainstorming, possibly affinity diagram - KJ).

"Exam session": project review.

Key words : continuous improvement, ISO 9001, management, general semantics, problem solving.

Prerequisites

None, but an experience in a company will be useful.

Test

Graded deliverables (for most sessions) add up to a final grade.
No need to be made up normally since the deliverables are given at the beginning of the sessions (unless someone cannot attend the course for a long period).

La note finale est la moyenne des notes de chaque livrable (le niveau de participation de chacun pouvant moduler cette note).
The final grade is an average of the grades obtained for all the deliverables (the role of each student may affect this grade).
