Drying of a laminated cellulose-based material: carton board - microfibrillated cellulose

As part of the TherMiC project conducted within the Carnot Polynat in partnership the Centre Technique du Papier, The Laboratory of Pulp and Paper Science and Graphic Arts is seeking for a post-doctoral scientist.

The goal of the project is to understand the phenomena involved in the thermal drying of a laminated material made of carton board and microfibrillated cellulose, for which barrier properties are extremely important. This material, whose main potential application is in the field of packaging, has the advantage of being biobased and recyclable and therefore offers an alternative to materials containing petroleum-based polymers. The study aims to select the appropriate means and drying strategy. It is based on experimental work using existing means (laboratory and pilot test benches).
