Goal(s)

  • To illustrate the courses: mass transfer and mass exchanges.
  • To illustrate also course on flow into porous media (PW on resin bed).

Content(s)

Practical work cycle includes 4 sessions:

  • Quasi-stationary mass transfer through a membrane: determination of the diffusivity of a solute through a membrane.
  • Desorption kinetics from wood chips: effect of tortuosity in the radial and longitudinal directions.
  • Mass transfer and exchange in a resin bed: characterization of the resin (exchange capacity, densities, equilibrium constant, ...); study of continuous operation: piercing curve, global mass transfer coefficient and HUET.

Prerequisites

Course of mass transfer and fluid mechanics.

Sécurité
Port obligatoire de la blouse + lunettes + gants pour la préparation des solutions

Les élèves n'ayant pas suivi la formation sécurité lors de l'intégration à Pagora ne sont pas autorisés à manipuler en TP
