Julien Bras was appointed a senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF, Academic Institute of France) at an official ceremony in October 2022 in the presence of Sylvie Retailleau, Minister for Higher Education and Research. This honour, given to only 2% of academic staff, was awarded in recognition of his work in the field of cellulose.

Eva Pasquier, PhD student at LGP2, defended her thesis: "Preparation of biobased materials from nano-polysaccharides and lignin particles for food packaging applications".

Gloria Ifunanya Ngene, doctoral student at LGP2, defended her thesis: "Coupling refining, chemical and enzymatic treatments for improved purification and dissolution of cellulose".

Maxime Wawrzyniak, PhD student from IMEP LAHC and LGP2, defended his thesis: "Development of Innovative and Transparent Radio-Frequency devices based on Nanocelluloses-Silver Nanowires hybrid system".

Loreleï Douard, doctoral student at LGP2, defended her thesis: "Surface modification of cellulose and nanocelluloses by innovative green processes".

A new industrial excellence chair has been signed in the framework of the Grenoble INP Foundation. Dedicated to cellulose, the chair is held by Julien Bras, teacher at Grenoble INP – Pagora, UGA, and researcher at LGP2*.

Two research professors from the LGP2 have been named among the most influential scientists by two international rankings.

Alain Dufresne, a professor at Grenoble INP-Pagora, recently received the EPNOE Scientific Award and was ranked among the 156 most frequently cited French researchers.
