Companies maintain contact with students

The health crisis continues to deprive Grenoble INP-Pagora students of study trips and training days with the companies involved in its various sectors. However, these ties have not been broken...
Since the beginning of the academic year, the school’s industrial partners have had ample opportunity to maintain constructive dialogue with its engineering students, be it through videoconferencing or other means.

In October, an online Hack’Carton day was jointly organised by the school and DS Smith Packaging. Several teams of 3rd year engineering students took part in a role-playing game: with the support of several employees of the industrial group and teachers from the school, they were asked to present Business Cases (project opportunity studies).

This was a stimulating way of introducing them to the innovation process that will be an inherent part of their future role as engineers.

In December, the ABB Pulp & Paper Truck stopped off at Grenoble INP-Pagora during its European tour. This manufacturer of cutting-edge industrial technologies introduced students to its latest innovations for the paper industries, including digital solutions.

Visiting the demo truck provided the engineering students with a valuable insight into the development of industry 4.0 in the paper sector.
At the end of January, the Jobs & Internships Forum organised by Grenoble INP-Pagora’s engineering students took place virtually. It was an unusual 33rd edition of what is a traditional event at the school, but it enabled students and companies to chat about the potential for future recruitment (apprenticeships, internships or employment).
