The registrations are opened for the next session which will start in September 2016 and scholarships are still accessible to the candidates.
Launched in 2011, the Post Master Biorefinery, Bioenergy, Bioproducts & Biomaterials is geared towards developing the biorefinery processes that enable the components of biomass to be extracted, isolated and modified in order to manufacture gaseous or liquid fuels, as well as chemicals. The latter can in turn be transformed into biomaterials.
This one-year course, which is taught in English by teacher-researchers of Grenoble INP-Pagora and experts from the industry, is aimed at both students and professionals from France and abroad. They must already hold a Masters degree, an engineering degree or a similar qualification, and be eager to specialise in the field so as to contribute to the development of biomaterials, which are finding increasing use in a wide range of industrial sectors: future forms of packaging made from non-food grade renewable materials, new applications for biomaterials in the chemical industry, not to mention the increasing presence of biorefinery in the paper industry.
The course is accredited by the IAR (Industries and Agro-Resources) innovation cluster. Since it was created, 50% of its graduates have found employment in industry, with the remainder opting to enter the world of research (doctorates).
The 6th session of the Post Master, which starts in September 2016, is now open for registration. A number of scholarships are available to applicants: a 2016-2017 excellence scholarship from Grenoble INP's Partnership Foundation, a pre-doctoral scholarship from LabEx Tec 21 and a scholarship from the Agefpi Endowment Fund.
