  • To understand the processes of synthesis and use of biopolymers
  • To take a critical view at bioplastics

Knowledge of different type of biopolymers : manufacturing process, properties & applications
Understand environmental impact and possible industrial applications

  • General Introduction
  • Family 1: polysaccharides & derivates
  • Family 2: introduction on biobased monomers and petro-biobased polymer
  • Family 3: Polymers products by micro-organisms
  • Family 4: Blends & partially bio-based polymers
  • LCA / Ecological concerns + industrial packaging examples
