Goal(s)

Learning outcomes :

  • To know the polymers used in the field of papermaking, converting and printing in particular.
  • To identify the different synthetic fibres used in the manufacture of fibrous materials and the associated processes.
  • To know the structure/property relationships classifications for synthetic fibres and associated fibrous mattresses and/or applications.
  • To understand the relationships between the manufacturing process and the properties of biocomposites and biopolymers
  • To manufacture biopolymer or biocomposite films using several processes
  • To analyze their mechanical and thermal properties.
  • To make an inventory of the polymers.
  • To identify the polymers used in our sectors.
  • To identify the processes of their transformation.
  • To establish specific sheets for each polymer, targeting in particular those used to manufacture special papers.
