Show that maintenance efficiency can be improved thanks to appropriate tools and methods.

Content(s)
Introduction.
Applications of maintenance (different types of maintenance; sub-contracting)
Organizing maintenance (planning; technical supervision of equipments; spare parts stock management).
Budget management (measurements, ratios, etc.).
Human issues.
Total Productive Maintenance ("5 S" methodology; overall effectiveness ratio; first level maintenance; software-aided maintenance).
Conclusion.
The apprentices spend some time in the maintenance department of their company (when appropriate) in order to better understand the maintenance organisation. A 3-page report is written and graded.
A graded project on some technical aspects of maintenance (lubrication, bearings, gears, alignment and vibrations) leads to a common reference document.
The technical day on "Maintenance and continuous improvement" (4FMA2142) takes place in Grenoble INP-Pagora during the Spring. The apprentice supervisors are invited and present some case studies. Mixed groups of apprentices and supervisors will tackle these cases in order to pratice problem-solving techniques and propose solutions or investigation directions.

Understanding of a production evironment.
Test
Both reports are graded.
Can be made up in case of extended absence.
