Goal(s)
Learning outcomes :
- To implement chemical dosages to know the concentration of aqueous solutions
- To apply conventional analytical methods to characterize components from lignocellulosic biomass: cellulose and lignin; and to analyze liquid effluents
- To work in a group
Nathalie MARLIN
Content(s)
Analytical Chemistry labworks are experimental illustrations of the Analytical Chemistry course.
Students work on five topics during 3 hours labwork sessions on:
- Conductimetric and potentiometric titrations related to pulp and paper chemistry
- Voltamperometric analysis of organic molecules
- UV spectrophotometry : phenolic groups titration in an extracted lignin
- Caracterization of cellulose acetate: substitution degree, polymerization degree
- Potentiometry and specific electrodes
to develop solutions to characterize (1) lignocellulosic biomass in transformation and (2) liquid effluents
PrerequisitesAnalytical Chemistry Course
Conventional teaching conditions :
- Experimental skills during the session (25% of the grade)
- Practical Work reports (75% of the score)
No possibility of session 2
Degraded teaching conditions :
evaluation of an individual report, to be done at distance. No contrainst of duration for the writting of the report. The teacher gives a dead line for the deposit of the report on Chamilo (pdf format).
Moyenne des notes des cinq séances de TP
Chaque note /2à est composée:*
- du comportement en séance (préparation du TP, dextérité expérimentale, participation) pour 5 pts
- de la rédaction d'un compte-rendu pour 15 pts
