Goals

Learning outcomes :

  • To be familiar with common techniques for processing macromolecular materials and composites
  • To produce a written report that presents current processing techniques, based on the theoretical elements that explain the shaping processes of thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers (molding, extrusion, injection, spinning and stamping processes) and on the composition of polymer foams, polymer blends and polymer matrix composites
  • To present an oral written report that presents the current polymer shaping processes

Content

Basic knowledge of common techniques for processing macromolecular materials and composites.

proessing of thermoplastic and thermoset polymers, molding, extrusion, injection, spinning and embossing techniques, polymeric foams, polymer blends and polymer matrix composite materials.



Prerequisites

This course is a prerequisite for the course "biocomposites".

Tests

Presentation of a report + defense. Non re-sit exam.
