Learning outcomes:
- To know the main structural, mechanical and surface properties of the paper material and their -characterization methods,
- To know the different scales involved in paper structure and properties,
- To understand the mechanisms leading to the formation of papers,
- To link the structure of papers to their mechanical and optical properties,
- To understand the influence of unitary operations on the physical properties of papers,
- To link pulp characteristics and processing conditions to paper properties,
- To know the relevant quantities involved in thermal transfer phenomena in papers,
- To know how to reproduce the coloration of paper.
