- To understand and know the coating operations from the sauce formulation to the properties of the functionalized coated substrate
- To determine and analyze the rheological properties of a coating sauce
- To use coating drivers to make sheet-to-sheet and reel-to-reel coatings

To gain insight and to develop expertise in surface treatment techniques, and their effect on the printability and mechanical properties of paper and cardboard
To realize a functionalized fibrous support on these two faces (a printable face and a special face)
to identify the raw materials used in coating baths.

Evaluation : 60% of Description of evaluation conditions in the ‘Evaluation’ field and 40% of Description of evaluation conditions in the ‘Evaluation’ field (1.5h)
Resit : Written exam (1.5h)
Language of lectures and exams adapted to student profile.
Assessment in normal conditions : TP report (60%) + written exam (40%)
5 points out of 20 will be awarded to each student for their participation in the preparatory session prior to the practical work.
Evaluation in downgraded conditions : Oral presentation with commentary + homework in limited time.
Catch-up subject: only written exam
The exam may be taken in french or in english
