  • To understand and know the coating operations from the sauce formulation to the properties of the functionalized coated substrate
  • To determine and analyze the rheological properties of a coating sauce
  • To use coating drivers to make sheet-to-sheet and reel-to-reel coatings

To gain insight and to develop expertise in surface treatment techniques, and their effect on the printability and mechanical properties of paper and cardboard

To realize a functionalized fibrous support on these two faces (a printable face and a special face)

to identify the raw materials used in coating baths.
to identify the surface treatment techniques, their impact on the properties and printability of paper and cardboard.
to know how to formulate a pigmented sleeping sauce.
to know how to work in groups of 6 to 8 people.
to establish a schedule of conditions.
