Excellence Scholarship: the 2nd recipient is delighted!

Aidana, a student from Kazakhstan in the Master Materials Science and Engineering Program Biorefinery and Biomaterials, was the second recipient of the Excellence Scholarship awarded by the Grenoble INP Foundation in partnership with Albéa Tubes France and Grenoble INP - Pagora.
For the second consecutive year, an excellence scholarship has been awarded to a student enrolled in the Master Materials Science and Engineering, Program Biorefinery and Bio-based Materials, as part of the partnership agreement signed between the Grenoble INP Foundation, Albéa Tubes France and Grenoble INP – Pagora. The main goal of this scholarship is to attract and support talented students from other countries to continue their studies in Grenoble INP - Pagora.

For the 2025/2026 academic year, Aidana is the recipient of this scholarship. She shares her thoughts on this year and her journey with us:

What was your background before arriving at Grenoble INP – Pagora?
« Before joining Grenoble INP - Pagora, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, where I developed a strong foundation in process engineering, material science, and sustainable technologies. During my studies, I became particularly interested in renewable resources and environmentally friendly production processes. I also participated in research projects related to biomass conversion, which strengthened my motivation to pursue further specialization in this field. »

Why did you choose to enrol in the Master Materials Science and Engineering, Program Biorefinery and Bio-based Materials?
« I chose this Master, because it perfectly combines sustainability, innovation, and advanced material development. This degree at Grenoble INP - Pagora offers a unique opportunity to study biomass transformation, bio-based materials, and circular economy concepts in depth. I was especially attracted by the strong connection between academic research and industrial applications, as well as the international environment that encourages collaboration and global perspectives. »

How will this Master's degree help you in your future career, and what are your plans for the future?
« This Master’s degree provides both technical expertise and practical experience that are essential for building a career in the sustainable materials and bio-based industries. It equiped me with knowledge in biorefinery processes, material characterization, and project management, which are highly valued in research and industry. In the future, I plan to work in the field of renewable materials, contributing to innovative solutions that reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable development. »

Any words for candidates to the master's degree?
« I would encourage future Master’s candidates to stay curious, proactive, and open to new challenges.
