Pagora’s young talent receives European recognition

Based in Brussels, Intergraf represents 21 national printing federations from 20 countries. Its members represent a significant proportion of the European print media industry.

The Young Talent Award was created in 2017 to give a voice to the next generation of print and digital communication professionals. Each year, the contest is open to all young people involved in the sector (the maximum age is 25), be they students or employees. Each candidate must submit an article 2 to 5 pages long in English, together with any visual material they deem necessary, so as to put forward their proposals relating to the topic at hand.

This year, the focus was on how the sector can continue to appeal to the younger generation. Candidates were required to answer the following questions:

• How will printing develop in the future?
• What kind of working environment are you looking for?
• How could a printing company provide this?

A number of students from Grenoble INP-Pagora took part in the contest and the quality of their proposals stood out. For the second year running, Cédric Dumont, a 2^nd year apprentice engineer at Arjowiggins France, won 3^rd prize: "I'm very grateful to Intergraf for this prize! For the second year I win the third place of the Intergraf Young Talent Award and it's very important for me to share my ideas with these actors of the graphic industry!"

Fanny Van Hoorde, a 2^nd year engineering apprentice at CPI France, Inès Capdevila and Pauline Briot, graduate engineers of Grenoble INP-Pagora, can also be proud of their achievements: their efforts feature in the jury’s Top 10 proposals. The top 10 proposals from 2021, as well as the top 3 proposals from 2020 can be viewed at the Print Your Future website: all these proposals raise a number of important points and should be examined closely by anyone interested in the printing and graphic arts industry.
