On June 18, around ten international students from the Master Biorefinery & Biomaterials went to Rives (Isère) where a historical industrial partner of Grenoble INP-Pagora, Allimand, is based, long involved in the development of the school.

Accompanied by François Rettmeyer, Executive Officer, they were able to meet professionals in the sector, discover the site and the activities of this group, world leader in the design and manufacture of high added value paper, cardboard and fibrous materials machines.

Created in 1850 by Antoine and Etienne Allimand, the company of 300 employees is managed by Franck Rettmeyer. It is present in 46 countries and generates 80% of its turnover from exports. Offering technically personalized machines to each of its customers, Allimand has installed 165 complete lines in recent years.

Innovation is the very essence of the industrialist's development strategy, which annually invests 5 to 10% of its turnover in R&D.
