The fiber industry and biomaterials extends from plant biomass (biorefinery, chemical pulp) to the shaping of materials such as paper, biocomposites or functional materials. The Fibre and Biomaterials Engineering option allows students to acquire the skills to be key players in the development, manufacture and characterization of fibrous materials, recycling, biorefinery and biomaterials.

Engineering students and have a global vision of the biomass. Emerging themes (extraction of molecules from biomass, biomass use in thermoplastic or thermoset, recycling and environment...) are integrated into the training to best meet the current and future waiting of industries.Future graduates of Grenoble INP - Pagora will therefore be able to meet future societal issues and will be an active force of proposal for companies in these sectors.
